## Approval claims

Claim check · A

### Does the FDA’s list change mean approval?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) page marked current on April 22, 2026 lists BPC-157 among ingredients that groups asked to use, then took their requests back.

Taking back a request is not FDA approval; the entry still warns that information on whether BPC-157 could harm people is too limited.

As of September 2026, taking back a request does not allow pharmacies to make BPC-157 for individual patients, whether you contact the pharmacy locally or online.

### Does registration mean approval?

FDA registration or listing of a product does not establish approval of either the medicine or the facility, as of September 2026.

The FDA’s directory uses a number called the National Drug Code (NDC) to identify a drug product.

The FDA says an NDC is not proof of approval, as of September 2026.

### Does a research label answer the care question?

A research use only label does not establish FDA review for treatment in people.

In warning letters reviewed in September 2026, the FDA told sellers that products promoted for use in people must follow drug laws, even with a research label. The letters said these sellers were breaking the law by selling unapproved drugs.

A label cannot replace an answer about the exact treatment’s status. Ask the service to explain that status with a dated source.

## Claims about healing and harm

Claim check · B

### Do animal studies prove healing in people?

The reported healing of tendons, which connect muscles to bones, comes from rat studies.

As of September 2026, no completed injury study had reported results comparing BPC-157 with a pretend treatment. That pretend treatment contains none of the medicine.

The human knee-pain report had no comparison group.

### Does silence about harm settle it?

The FDA’s record checked in September 2026 says the human information is too limited to establish BPC-157 safety.

No reported serious event in a small study is different from a well-tested safety record.
